Just unpacked the new wiring harness
 

:eek: This thing is nothing,,,, 17 connectors plus one little ground wire. Is this what all the fuss is about ? There has to be a mile or two of other wires on this engine that goes bad also. It does seem to have the connector that goes to the air mass sensor that is crumbling so bad, but really,,, this is it ? 1993 400E.

What's interesting is the picture of the infamous wiring harness. I agree with you...does not look like the snake-headed Medusa that has caused some many Benz owners so much grief. :grim:

They are pretty straight forward as long as you route the longer wires where they should go without hitting exhaust parts and such.

Before you go plugging that nice shiuny harness back on...
