Connecting Tachometer M116 W108
 
hello from blighty... I've been trying to connect a tachometer to my W108 280SE 3.5 (M116) by connecting to the - side of the ignition coil but have been unable to get a signal. Does anyone know if there is another terminal I can use to get a reading?

Connect it to the + side of the coil, the – side is the ground (0 volt).

They also make a tach that i think hooks up to ignition wires for distributorless systems
