Apprentice,
YES, it should work. If you look under your hood on the passenger side where there is a bunch of writing, it should say OBDII Compliant. Mine does and it was produced in 8/94, purchased in 10/94 as MY 1995. When it's hooked up to scanners, it works just fine, nothing missing or anything. Provides all info, to my knowledge.
But double check under your hood just to be sure.

No, our cars should have the same electrical/emissions systems. Check under your hood to be sure.

I am not going to get it unless I can get it for a laptop, and then I might split it with my friend Justin who has an E430.

Where the C220's available in the states as well??? I thought that the smaller engine equipped models were not sold in the US...

david, the C220 is a 4-cylinder and the C280 is a 6-cylinder, so I think that the electrical/emissions systems are not the same.

greetingz,

Yes, the C220 was sold from 94 through 96 in the US.

I know the emission systems are not the exact same, but I am pretty sure they have the same basic system/CAN.

But Apprentice, CHECK UNDER YOUR HOOD TO SEE IF IT SAYS OBDII COMPLIANT!!
