Need small gas spring for 95 E320 arm rest

I need to replace the gas spring in my arm rest. A search on the internet shows that this gas spring is an odd size (too small), and no one seems to stock it. The original spring was supplied by Lift-O-Mat. Here are the specs:

Extended: 11.0 cm (4-1/4") between hole centers
Retracted: 8.1 cm (3-1/8") between hole centers
Cylinder diameter: 12 mm (1/2")

Does anyone have a good source for this odd (small) sized spring?

the parts guide didn't show one for that model, looks like it is part of complete arm rest, but after a little research i foung one from a 129 SL, i cannot say if it is correct for the 124, but here is the number 000-980-75-64
retails for about $47.00 and is special order

Carson, I appreciate you digging up this info (including the number), but for $47 this non-critical part isn't worth replacing.

Unfortunately, they don't retail their parts.

I even have a friend high up in the automotive interior business, and his catalogs - including Stabilus - don't cover this application.

I have e-mailed the Stabilus Ingenieure "auf deutsch" and asked for the correct number. If they give it to me, you should be able to order it from here:
