back from the body shop amateur's hands...
Actually, they body shop did a GREAT job on the paintwork - matches as well as expected, no sand lines, one small fisheye, but I'm pleased.
That said, the inside door panel wasn't reattached completely, the inner door handle doesn't return to a fully-seated position when released, and since my driver door handle was hit, they had to fit a new infrared receiver on it, which 1) does not blink red or green, and 2) only occasionally locked and unlocks the doors. When I take it back to them to fix these issues, assuming they have no clue why the IR receiver isnt working, how can I direct them? (what's the likely cause)

Most body shops DON'T have good technicians to make that type of diagnosis or repair. They usually don't even like electrical work at all.
I would go & see if they will sub that work out to an independent (or dealer) repair shop.
