Replacing Shocks Front & Rear

Hey All,
I'm new here. I've got a '92 S500 and it's time to replace the shocks/accumulators. I don't have a shop manual, I've done quite a bit of work on my Jeep and WRX-STi and I'm looking for some direction for this project.
I came across the front shock project via google and it led me to this place. Great forum. I'm sure it's been done before but I haven't been successful with the searches.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty sure I've got a good handle on the fronts but so far I'm clueless about the rear.
Thanks in advance & look forward to hanging out here.

So a little bit of back ground info on the ride. It has just over 100K and rides like a buggy, a very bouncy, float-mobile of a buggy. I thought the first thing to do would be to replace the shocks. I have since learned that while that will work for the front, and is still the plan, the rear is however a different story all together.

I am guessing that the rear accumulator would be the first thing to replace. How do I determine if I have a self leveling auto? What would be the next course of action provided that I either a) have a self leveling S500 or b) don't?

I'm not too familiar with an open hydraulic system.

Thanks again.:headshot:

A great set of writeups, all 140 500 SEL/S bodies have self leveling
bouncey rear=accumulators

Thanks for the quick response. I actually found a couple of his write ups late last night. Great place to start.
