The 16 A fuse for the Aux. Fan on my 88 300TE has melted to the fuse box socket (D location). The fuse is definitely in need of replacement. I would like to weigh all my options here before forcefully removing the fuse which will most likely ruin the socket. The socket is melted badly and I don't believe it will hold a new fuse properly.
Should I take the fuse box apart and move the wires from the current D position to one of the open positions (11 or 12) or should I add an external fusible link with maybe a higer rated fuse? What do I need to check to insure the fan is working properly?
