Those HFM 104 motors are great motors, except for those occasional head gasket problems, which have afflicted some cars multiple times, and except for those wiring harness problems, and except for those throttle actuator problems, and except for those EGR pipe problems, and except for those frail, expensive hot film mass air flow sensors, and except for a few other things. But other than that it's a great engine. It is, however, not in a class with an LH 119 motor.

I know this is going to turn out as a stupid question, but what car is the LH 119 in?

M104 engines are pretty reliable except the head gasket and wire harness issue.
120K miles is really not much on these.
I have 205K on mine with no gasket and no wire harness problems.
