Spreader for 126 / 201 alignment - where to buy
The local alignment shops don't have the required spreader bar.
Does anybody have a blueprint of one so I can make one? Or does anybody know where to get hold of one - preferably used / not expensive?

To start with a spreader bar is needed ONLY if there is freeplay in the steering.
If the steering components are in good shape then the toe-in difference with- with-out the bar is less than 0.05".

Eveything is less than 1 year old in the steering system, other than the steering box. There is some play in the box. Everything else is tight.
Having said that, from what you said, the alignment guy does not need to use the spreader bar?? Or, with a loose steering gear box, he does? Sorry - I don't know much about alignments?
