I just bought an 84 280 Mercedes, the car was purchased in Germany and has the 4 spd manual, cloth seats and manual sunroof as well as the Euro bumpers and headlights. The car has been setting up for a while and I need to drain the gas. I found what I think is the fuel pump and filter near the right rear wheel.
How do I drain the tank and fuel lines?

The hose that goes to the fuel pump will allow you to drain about 95% of the fuel tank. To get the rest you must remove the "strainer" from the bottom of the tank.
