adjust headlight wipers 86 560SEL?

the left side headlight wiper arm appears to out to far so that the blade cannot contact the glass without the arm touching the glass. can the arm be adjusted in somehow so the blade will contact the glass at less of an angle?

Something is bent, maybe the shaft for the motor? Pull it off and take a look at it, something is bent.

They are held on with I think a 10mm nut, just pull the arm forward and you will see it.

has to be something as you should have no problem with the
wiper arm angle. either the lens is to far in or the shaft too
far out. or are we misunderstanding?

Is the headlight flush with the side marker?

I'd pull the lower panal below the headlight off and make sure the motor is mounted correctly. Maybe the bracket holding it came undone somehow.
