w124 250D rear differential?
hey
I am wondering, what is the proper diff for w124 250diesel with 5speed manual tranny? 3.64:1 , 3.96:1 or something else? |
Not sure about the 250D with a 5 speed, but my 300D 2.5T (which is a 250DT in the rest of the world, 124.128) has a 2.65 rear end with the 722.4 auto trans. Probably different on the stick because of the 5 speed though.

According to the MB tech spec book if you have a 250D non turbo (124.125) with a manual transmission the differential ratio is 3.64. The 250D turbo
(124.128) manual transmission is 3.46. Hope this helps. Mark |
