Strange behavior

Why does it seem that when I feel my Benz diesel is becoming sluggish after some time. I will come to a stop, I shift to "N" than back to "D" several times in succession....Power is restored to full when I drive off? I used to think it was "bad fuel", but apparently not.

What's going on with the TC, here? Fluid is perfect, level is full (in between marks when warm; on level surface).

BTW, this symptom occurs in all of my cars however its rare. Two of my diesels have gone about with these symptoms for 30K miles each. Symptoms never getting worse.

I just "now" decided to ask, because it is a bit annoying but not detrimental to light-footed cruising.

(Guess I stumped everybody)...
