Which 4-Wire O2 for 3-Wire application?

Bosch O2 Sensors are the question of the day.

Many of you have dupped the deep pockets of the Stealership by purchasing a 3-wire Ford Mustang o2 sensor to replace your old OE one and have just soldered on the OE connector. Many of you also know that the Mustang one is no longer available, but that Bosch now offers a Universal 3-wire o2 so that you can do basically the same thing.

In doing some research on the subject I've found quite a few people getting a Bosch 4-wire o2 instead and running the fourth wire to the negative on the Battery, supposedly allowing the sensor to perform better than the old 3-wire set-up.

Does anyone have any experience with this, and more importantly does anyone know which Bosch 4-wire o2 will work on an M103? Just the Bosch Universal 4-wire?

It's time to change mine and since I'll be splicing in the Universal anyway, I thought I'd try the 4-wire set-up. I'll try anything once.;)

Thanks.

A 4 wire sensor isn't designed to replace a 3 wire sensor..stick to a universal 3 wire sensor.
