Girfriend's implants hurt in my 300e

Hey all,

I've been working on my '87 300e for a while and now I have multiple problems popping up.
The worst is my gf nagging that the idle shaking causes her chest to hurt since its sensitive after her surgery...go figure.
I recently replaced the fuel injectors and now the car shakes worse than before, I also have a problem with it dying and unable to restart when idling in the heat too long and a newfound loss of pretty much all acceleration.
I have a funny smell from the exhaust, maybe too rich, but it smells faintly like a lawnmower and the tailpipe makes a low "putt putt" noise. No smoke, no oil in the coolant, no loss of fluids, but just two days ago it started making a loud thump when idling or braking to a stop (coming from the rear).

I pulled the spark plug wires thinking a piston is misfiring/not firing. Plug 1 caused a violent shaking and dying while 3 and 4 did nothing. 2, 5 and 6 slowed the engine a little. Then I did 1 again and nothing happened.
All wires, pickups, etc are doublechecked that they are plugged in. I'm coming to the hard realization that the more I work on her the worse she gets.

Any help would be appreciated before I take it to the shop. I'll post a pic to better diagnose the problem.

Matt

Don't worry...she's 21. Hopefully I can fix the problem and reunite my two girls

Stop driving her around so much and find something else to do with her, before someone else does!

It looks like she's holding my chances with her in her hand; does she like convertible AMGs more than she likes 300e's?

unfortunately, all girls like convertibles better, you got that going for you at least, an AMG might give you an advantage, but most girls dont know the difference between AMG and Yugo, if it has a soft top, it is good to them.

There is no way you're going to get sensible answers from anybody.
P.S. Stop pulling those wires, no need for it.
