The 3-piece square nylon slider has self destructed on the passenger side door regulator in my 84 190E. It hold s the rear sliding arm of the window regulator in the bottom horizontal track of the window. (its not the jaw that goes up and down in the veritcal track))

What is the part number of this piece? Is it a dealer only item?

Didn't know you could just buy that part only...both of mine destroyed themselves within a year of each other in the same manner, and I was told that I had to replace the entire regulator w/motor as the part was not sold seperately!

Oh well, each was $140 (just replaced one last week)...

Dealer Had slides in stock!

The Benz dealer in midtown manhattan had the slides in stock, part# 126-720-01-42. I bought a few so I have 'em around. I heard from a few people that the slides werent available w/o buying the whole regulator: not so.

Chalk one up fopr the little guys!

Oh well...I've got a couple of good used regulator assemblies and motors...without guides! Maybe I'll buy a couple of guides and rebuild these...

I have purchased the "sliding jaws" for the regulator and will make an attempt at grinding away the material that has been mushroomed down replacing the jaw and peening it back down. I have a used regulator that I am getting just in case.
