c320 2001 w203 seat and tilt steering wheel problem

i need some help. i have been trying to diagnosis 2 problems... here is the first one

problem #1. (drivers seat)
my front driver seat will not move forward or back. ALL other seat positions work. A few months back i noticed that my seat was no longer moving for easy in and out access. then about a week ago i attempted to re-sync my head rest and the seat by.... pushing down and holding the head restraint button and pushing forward and holding at the same time... holding for 5 seconds.... after doing this my front seat would not move BACK. all other seat positions work fine.

a. i checked all my fuses but did not think it is a fuse problem because every other seat positon works. is there anything that i could be missing?
b. i replaced both the control modules (in the driver door and under driver seat) with a new ones and it did not change anything.

so my QUESTIONS are....
do you think it may be a door switch problem or a motor problem?
which of the two motors controls the seat moving forward and reverse?

Problem #2 (power steering wheel tilt)
about 1 month ago... prior to the seat problems described above i ordered a brand new 2006-2007 style key for my car from OEMpartsdirectdotcom. using my old key my power tilt worked fine. Immediately after putting in my newly ordered key my steering wheel stopped moving up and down. the only movement of the steering wheel with this new key is in and out.

so my QUESTIONS are...
do you think the new key had anything to do with it? possibly new programing or something? Ive also been told that it is probably a gear in the steering

any help would be great.
thanks
charles
