European Headlight Install

All,
I just got new Euro Headlights for my 1987 560SL.....Adsit promised it was plug and play. Not exactly.

They fit great and look great - the wiring is a problem.

The original headlights have a 4 pin and 6 pin connector as well as a single brown wire that plugged into the back.

The 4 pin on the Euro light only has one active pin - only 1 has metal in the connector.

Question...what to do with the "extra" brown wire - as it doesn't appear to plug into anything.

Help!

No go.
My old lights have two plugs in the back. One with 4 spaces for wires and another for 6. The 4 wire plug has only 3 wires. The 6 has 6 wires. In addition to the aforementioned wires, there is a brown "extra" wire.
865sp300e was kind enough to forward something, but SLs must be different.
Any help?

Thanks

In every German car ...

yellow is low beam
white is high beam
gray is park light
brown is ground.

These colors exist inside your new headlight and in your original wiring harness. Match them up.

Kent is right
The only change you need to make is put the high and low wires on the same line because you only have one lamp not two as in the original lights
If you want to set wires back in look at the other plug on the other side
or match the wires on the light to plug that you mixed up
The 4 wire plug is for the park /turn signal lights below
If you are not fimiliar with wiring get a frend to ring it out
you don't want to burn it up with a dead short to the system

Thanks for assistance.
There are several things here.
1. The high beam and low beams are different on the Euro light. The high beam is the "big light" and the low beam is the lower wattage (think it is 5W or something) small bulb that lights the light. So, can't put them on the same line.
2. When the high beams are on, the fog lights are supposed to turn off....
3. The US Headlights have a park light, turn signal is below bumper....
4. Seems like the wiring should match....there is a brown pig-tail wire that was not part of the 6-plug piece. There is no brown wire in the 6-plug piece.

Am I supposed to pull together the 6 plug and 4 plug into one and then connect? Not trying to be difficult here....but pretty confused on going from 10 to six wires.....

I did mine last year went to euros
I know there is old threads on it
The problem I had was to fool the light monitor in to thinking there were no burnt out bulbs
That's why I need to look at the way I wired it
I getting old can't remember
