Help Replacing a/c compressor on 92 400SE
 
Hi,

Can anyone provide guidance on replacing the a/c compressor on a 1992 400SE (140 BODY)? I appreciate the help, thanks!

I'm not familiar with the W140, but I would imagine it should be just like any other car with an A/C compressor. Just undo the wiring, remove the mounting bolts, disconnect the hoses, and remove it. Am I missing something here?

a/c compressor removal
 
There is a exterior covering over the motor, which covers the valve covers, partially exposing the compressor. I am not sure how to remove this covrering. Thanks!
