Would someone check this?
I can't access the Russian vin site from work and would like to have someone check this vin. WDB10702312012951 Should be a 1978 ???SLC euro. Any help appreciated.

Datacard for VIN WDB10702312012951 is not found
1) VIN was misspelled in the request form; 2) VIN was erroneously read from vehicle body or documents; 3) VIN is not of an original vehicle and was forged by criminals; 4) The vehicle was produced in late 2005 or 2006, and is not included yet in our database |
Thanks for trying, someone said it isn't much help prior to 1980 or something.

<<The car I'm looking at is supposed to be a 1978? Euro bumpers, lights etc. >>
A 1978 version would be a 107.024 chassis. Makes no difference what the badges say, The chassis # is what you go by and your chassis info/yr, etc. is as I stated . You have a 107.023., not a .024 http://www.nos-benz-parts.com/reference.phtml#107 ..and if it is a .023 , it is a much better deal than a .024, providing it has the 116 engine still in it. |
