COP Ignition Primary Side Voltage

Has anyone ever put an osciliscope on the primary side of the COP coils and measured the primary voltage to the coil. If yes can you tell me what almpitude I shoud see. Im particularly interested in a 1996 SL600. But I belive any engine of that vintage should be the same.
