Leather interior
Hi all please advise...
I have a 2000 W203 240 with a blue cloth interior (electric seat controls on seat). I have just been offered a grey leather interior out of the same year of manufacture model however the electric controls are on the door. Will this fit into my car ? What sort of problems am i likely to encounter? Will I need to buy extra connectors and relays? Is it worth it changing the dashboard as well or is it too much hassle? ![]() |

I can't imagine that the 203 offered both seat and door controls version, in the USA 2000 model year it was still the older 202 version with door controls.
You may want to consider just changing the seat covers to leather. I have a 203 with the blue oyster interior and i love it. |

Is it too difficult to remove the covers from the donor seats and put them onto my current ones?

In my opinion it is very hard to take of and reuse a seat cover, others may not agree. Taking off covers from a seat and reusing them espically if you have never done this kind of work before is not easy. cover material can easily tear espically around the edges and where cloth meets leather in the corners,
I redid the seat covers on my W202 C-class, I puchased a new seat cover bottom and replaced my tired seat bottom. It was a PITA, but the results were worth it for me. To move the seat control buttons form seat to door is not something I would recommend to you. |
