1984 Mercedes Benz 280SE Need Help

I wonder if you can help me find the spark plugs, wires, and oil filter for this car. I'm told it's a grey market vehicle whick is making it hard to find out any information on it. I also need to know if anyone can tell me what size the engine is. I know it's a 6 cylinder but that's it. Thanks, I just need to know more about this car....

There are web sites that can decipher your chassis number.

you should have a W126.022 chassis with a M110.989 engine.

parts should be available for that car almost anywhere.

I have a 1983 280SE Its a 2.8 litre straight six double overhead cam bosch continuous fuel injection 185 BHP Auto so yours should be the same should be a chrome plaque in engine bay above radiator for spark plug specs Bosch/Champion/NGK should be 0.7mm gap. Oil should be 15w40 mineral or 10w40 semi synthetic check with your merc dealer or local parts centre about filter spec its not a normal cartridge filter but a older style exposed filter which fits into an oil filter chamber on the engine. hope this helps.
