My '96 210.020 (E300) lacks a fuse for the auxiliary fan. The power is supplied via the N65 module, on the left side of the underhood fusebox (the cover must be removed to see it - six screws).

A word of advice: skip aftermarket fan assemblies. You can get the fan motor from the "buy parts" link above, which is the OEM motor and bolts into your frame. You use your old right side fan and pulley. Get a new belt while you're at it.

But before you do anything, ensure that you get power through the module. Connect a test lamp to the leads and put the CC pushbutton module in fan test mode by holding both AUTO buttons for >10 seconds. You should then see the light flash about every five or six seconds. You will not see full power without the motor in place.

I believe that you can actually buy the replacement module if it is dead. The one in my car is slightly different, and is not available.
