FSS Woes

Folks,

I have tried resetting the FSS for my 2002 E320 by the method described in the owner's manual. My key is now stuck in what I believe to be the "1" position and won't turn either way. What should I do next? Please let me know. I'm stranded.

Wiggle the steeringwheel, while trying to turn or pulling on the key ?
