Could anybody tell me the location for the regeneration valve? It is used for petrol vapour control so I guess it should be somewhere near the tank. the part no is 2024700093.
Its under fuel vapour system in the CD i saw at the parts shop but it doesnt tell you the location within the car. Its attached to a carbon filter.

The car in question is a 124 with a 111 engine(in line 4 2199cc). Its is the 16v model.

btw, the 16v thats constantly referred to in this lists, is it the 4 cylinder model?

thanks

Purge Valve

ON the US model C220, the valve is on the left frame rail under the hood next to the w/s washer reservoir.

This is getting really weird. Visited a mechanic today and we look all over the car and we just couldnt find a similiar looking part. The closest looking thing is this device that has "MOT" written on top on the electrical connector.

The mechanic then ask me if I got the correct part. He said that since the part no starts with a 202, it could very well be a C class parts, not 124.

I remember very strongly I got the part no of the CD, first at the agent and then at a parts dealer. I am very positive that the part no was obtained under the 124 section.

Could anybody confirmed what the mech said? that 202 means its a part for C class..
thanks

Sounds as though you have found the valve as ours does say MOT on top. OUR part number is 000-470-22-93.

Would you know what this MOT thing is suppose to do? Or what are the symptoms if it does go kaput? but i doubt this MOT part is the one I am suppose to change.

Went back to parts dealer again and we reconfirmed that this is indeed a w124 part, or at least the cd says so. Problem is that the cd doesnt tell where it is in the car. It is located beside the charcoal cansiter(it looks more like a rectangular box than a canister but anyway...).

Hope this might ring a bell on the location. Found out not every model have this device(its under evaporation control i think).

The last resort would be going back to the dealer but they quoted me 300SGD +++; when it looks like i can do it under 5 secs so long as I know where it is located and it costs me only 30 bucks!
