C280's AC not cool
My 1997 C280's AC is not cool. The AC had been working intermittently. When the engine cool, the AC worked fine for awhile until engine warmed up, the AC clutch disengaged, then no more cool air. I just replaced new water pump. The freon is still full in AC system, not leaking. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks. Last edited by dondean; 07-22-2007 at 03:50 PM. |

Search for evaporator temp sensor. Common failure and cheap/easy to fix.

Evaporator temperature sensor
Forp,
I listened to you to replace the evaporator temperature sensor located under dashboard driver side. It cost me $79 for part at dealer and $50 labor at some place esle. It seems working to me. The AC is cool again. But I have to keep it running for a week to make sure permanent fix. I appreciate your help a lot. Dallas TX in summer time is constantly 90s to 100s. For a mere $129 to fix AC, I will have a cool summer. Thanks to you. |
