Start at the comppressor, Follow the line to the condenser. There should be a high pressure fitting somewhere in the vicinity of the compressor.

What year is your 300D? If its a W124 the valve is located near the front driver's side in between the headlight and the radiator near the receiver drier. HTH

On my 82 300D turbo (W123) the fitting is in the center of the compartment under and to the left of the upper radiator hose. The radiator hose comes out of the radiator(facing engine) and bends left to cross and in front of engine then bends towards the back. The fitting is just to the left of this second bend.

Are you going to try and charge thru the high pressure side?
Don't think you want to do that.

Make The Right Choice

It's good to know where the schraeder valve fittings are, both high and low side of the system.
But, to add refrigerant to the system and to know what the evaporator pressure is, you better be concerned about the low side fitting.
Normally yoiu won't have concern about the high side as long as you don't over charge the system.
Good luck for even though R-134A doesn't cool as well as R-12, it does a good job.
