After parking my W124 260E, saw my ATF ozzing out
from the passenger side of the car - fluid all gone!!
Per tow truck driver, fluid coming out not from the
pan (had my ATF, filter and gasket changed last month)
but from somewhere higher or up from the pan.

car towed to my mechanic's garage and will be inspected
monday yet.

any ideas where the fluid might be coming from? TIA!

I just had my ATF changed to Mobil 1 and I had them drain the torque converter. Did you have the TC drained and could it be they forgot to tighten the plug properly?
Hope this didn't happen!

The TC took forever to drain by the way:) and that Mobil 1 is really unbelievable stuff

Could it be an overflow vent usually located top side of trans..??

i am lucky the car was not in motion when it
happened. i could have damaged the tranny,
if i have not already did.

I thought Mobil 1 was motor oil

not tranny fluid??

got my car back today. problem fixed. it was
an o-ring on the passenger side. for those of
you who have older cars, check this right away
to avoid replacing your tranny.

Good idea joel. Where is this seal? I know the left side. Thanks.
