ASR help please

After 4 weeks and $$$$$$ my 93 600SEL ASR light is still on
I have replaced the Control module and both throttle bodies.
It ran like a champ after the Thtrottle body instal then the next morning right back to where I started ..."ASR" Light on and in LHM.

I purchased a code reader from ebay and it now reads

#30...ASR only: CAN data bus to EA/CC/ISC control module interupted.

Does anyone know what this means and how do I fix it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

How about the wiring harness, have you checked it for 'cracks'??

The wiring harness seems OK I have inspected in in many areas and have no signs of cracking. The ETA's on the otherhand were all cracked and looked terrible. I just had them rebuilt at BBA Reman.

When only the ASR lamp is on you need to read codes from the EA/CC/ISC computer not the ASR computer. I know that doesn't make sense BUT.....

Battery?

I had a similar problem with my 91 560SEL. The ASR and ABS lights would come on sporadically. The car wint "limp" on occasion, then it would be hard to start. I replaced the OVP Relay - same issues. I replaced the battery 2 weeks ago and all problems stopped. Everything is still fine two weeks later. No ASR,ABS lights, easy starting! How could that be? I thought the battery was a non-factor once the engine is running.
