You might have a compound problem. One may be with your instrument cluster resetting, and the onther one with the engine shutting down. On the cluster reset, check this Instrument Cluster Resets 1992 400SE

Could it be your wiring harness - I think 1995 is a bad year for those. My 1994S600 misfired frequently when mine went bad.

but my car is 97, so i am not if this might be the problem or not
some said it might......

i checked some of the wire and they looks ok

i think my instrument cluster are ok....just not sure if that's wiring harness or the generator problem
