This past weekend someone attempted to break into my 300E, and screwed up the alingment of the passenger front window. It will go down fine, but when I try to roll the window up, the end towards the rear of the door, gets caught up or off of the track. I have not owned a MB before and have never removed any of the door panels. When I go to remove the passenger door panel, is there anything that I should be extremely cautious with?

The important thing to know is that the door panel(s) lift UP, and not out. Knowing this will save you some unnecessary damage.

Is it necessary to remove any of the seat adjustment switches prior to removing the panel?

I've only done rear panels, so I can't tell you exactly what is involved with the fronts...I will explain based on the rear panel removal...

I believe the two plastic sections housing the seat switches and the door handle pop out if done carefully with a flat blade screwdriver. Then you have access to the bolt holding the top of the door pull...everything else should stay attached to the panel. Disconnect wiring connectors to the seat adjustment, courtesy light, and speakers.

Carefully lift the door panel upwards, then out. You will also have to remove the plastic sheeting on the door itself. If done carefully, you may be able to reapply the sheeting without applying any additional adhesive.

Again, thses instructions are based on the REAR door panels, but I suspect that the front panels are similar.
