I have a 1991 190E. When I apply the brakes, I have a good Pedal, but if you continue to apply pressure or slam on the brakes hard, the pedal will go to the floor. The car stops O.K. It seems as if something is wrong with the ABS??? The pads are good on the front and rear. The fluid is full. The ABS light is not on, Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance. Jack |

If there are no leaks especially around the calipers... then I would say you have a problem with your master cylinder, a problem that could easily become life threatening! Get it checked!!!

Your master cylinder is fading. Fluid is internally bypassing seals. Get a new one. Soon.

A new master cylinder is good advice. Had a few go bad on me with the same symptoms. Master cylinder was the fix.
