190E 2.5-16 Auto to Manual conversion?

Hi guys,

I have my car for a few years now, and enjoy every minute of it.
Its an auto right hand drive.
But i have always wondered about getting it converted to a manual 5 speed getrag box.
My question's are...Is it worthwhile? Can i keep the cruise control? Is it a big job...?
I know roughly what needs to be changed...It would be great to hear of others who may have done this conversion?
Thanks

Zak

IF you rear many of the Auto to Man conversions threads, you will see that you need a "donor" car at your disposal to get ALL of the needed parts.

A good tech could do that swap in about hours 10-12 hrs with a donor car.

Its your lucky day! I have a 16v 5-speed parts car sitting in my garage that has the motor pulled but the full drive line in tact. Yes you can keep your cruise, as my 5-speed car has it. You may need to swap out cruise relays (which i have) Off the top of my head, i know you need:
Flywheel
Driveshaft
shifter assy + linkages
pedal assembly
slave cyl
Possibly the mater cyl?
and shifter wood + boot/knob

Anyways PM me for details, i was thinking about using this for my sportline but i cant find a 2.6 5-speed flywheel anywhere
