88 260e a/c problems
 

i posted this issue several weeks ago after replacing the expansion valve that was leaking. one mechanic said i needed to replace the compressor that was cutting off. after i got some great suggestions on this forum as to how to check system including sensors, the a/c mysteriously started working and cooling great. now it only seems to work when the car is hot and has run for a while after it has been restarted. it never will kick in in the am when the engine is cool, but after the engine has gotten hot and i have restarted, i can cutoff and if i get back in the car, and restart it works fine. this has to be related to some type of sensor. any suggestions.
