Agree that a 1994 or 1995 E320 is a great choice ... difficult to find a clean one with maintenance records for less than $7,500. I bought a 1995 with 135,000 miles for $4,800 10 months ago, but it has had some paintwork done and the seller was eager to get it out of the garage since he had already purchased a 2000 E320. I feel that I got a great deal. Whatever you pay make sure to get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done by a MB-trained tech so you know the condition of the car you intend to purchase. A shiny exterior doesn't guarantee that major repairs aren't imminent.
