rear shock replacement advice - C240

Please help me with removal of the rear shock. The car is 2001 C240. Where is the upper mounting point of the shock located? Is it behind the C-pillar? How do I remove the interior trim to get to the upper mounting point? Knowing the plasticky nature of todays cars,I just dont want to destroy too many trim attachment points.
Thanks in advance.

I think I read a similar post from you a few days back.

Never done this on a W203 car but have changed out the shocks on a W202 car.

The rear trim on a W202 are fastened by button style plastic pieces ( don't know the proper name for the fasteners ). On-line shops lke JC Whitney sell trim removal tools, in this case a plastic or metal scraper with a V cut-out in it in order to press out the fastener. The top of the shock is actually a few inches rearward of where the C-pillar blends in the quarter-panel.

Since so many owners lower and stiffen their W203's if you search should be dedicated web sites describing with pictures the shock replacement.
