C280 Dashboard Failue
 

I have a 1995 C280, and this morning when I started it up, the dashboard instrument panel had gone dead - the odometer, fuel gauge, speedometer, etc. Everything elseis working finre, including indicator lights for rear defogger, low windshield fluid, etc.

Any suggestions as to what might be the problem would be appreciated!

I am sure this is common sense but I have been suprised before. Did you check the fuses?

Trying giving the flat part on top of the cluster a good whack with your hand.

Thanks Chris, and don't be surprised when I say no, but I have since checked it and after removing and reinserting the fuses, it is working, although now there is an incredibly annoying beeping sound that only starts when I am going over 5 MPH (and doesn't stop). I have tried swapping fuses back and forth, replacing with spares, etc., but nothing works.
