190e 16 valve dual vs single fuel pump
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 190e class that run the older single fuel pump and newer 190e with dual fuel pumps? Any diffenence in fuel pressure? Driveability issues?

With 2 smaller pumps the current draw is LOWER than with 1 larger pump & the fuel supply has a larger volume capability..

Can single pump cars be converted over to dual pump and what parts would be required?

Yes, single pump cars can be converted. However, this is based on info I have found in the factory manual for my '86 300E. There is a procedure and factory kit for dual pump installation. I cannot state with confidence your 190E can be converted but I'm sure somebody here will know.
