1992-500 SEL question

Replacing the engine in 1992-500 SEL with newer engine 1995 and have question about Top dead center transmitter (sensor on crankshaft pulley).
My old engine has this sensor but newer one don't.
Do I need this sensor for anything else except for diagnostic ???
The engine light will stay on or not?? Help me here ,Please...:book:
Thanks ...

You don't need that at all.

The electronic "scopes" that used that signal are ALL gone!

Will the electronics work, the 95 engine had coil packs , I think the 92 up had rotors, caps and wiring?

Everything is same except Throttle actuator and injectors are different part numbers.A/C,P/S,W/P,Air pump are just updated with different pulleys and smaller acc. belt others parts like exhaust manifolds i will replaced from old engine. This is same engine (block and heads) ..
The engine has only 45K miles it is like brand new..
Only problem i come across was this TDC sensor ,which they said is only for diagnostic..We will see...:pleased:
