They are good looking, good handling and very very safe cars, but make no mistake, durability, longevity, build quality,and ease of maintenance on the little C230 is far, far, below that of the venerable 240D.

They are too old tgo ever show up as certified preowned cars on Mercedes dealer's lots, which would be the best place to get them.

If you must have one though, go to a few Mercedes dealers, and ask a co operative salesman to call you if a really mint one with all records and books in a good color gets traded in, and to give you a call when one does, before it gets wholesaled out to some auction by the Mercedes dealer who took it in as a trade.
