Guys,

this weekend I'm going to change my strut mounts and my struts. Is it also necessary to change the springs as well? I'm getting the Bilstein Sport struts. Any advice would greatly be helped. Also, if I change the front suspension, should I also do the rear to avoid a mismatch? I have a 190E 2.3 '85.

No You Don't

You don't have to replace the springs unless your standing height is out of spec.
Measure from the wheel center to fender cutout, this is dimension "a" in The Technical Data Book for your model.
If there is a difference, new springs are available to correct for the error.
"Spring Rubbers" will add +5mm, and are used to correct for an out of spec condition.
Considerring the Sport Shock, you may want the lowering sports spring.
Make your checks and LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP.
