I wasn't paying attention as I pulled into a parking lot. Beside the spot where I was supposed to park, there is this curb. As I was turning into the parking lot, my right rear wheel curbed against the corner of the curb and there was slight damage to the wheel cover. When I curbed the wheel, I was turning into the parking lot at less than 10km/h.

So far, everything appeared to be fine. There are no strange noise, etc. from the right rear wheel.

I wonder if there are any damage done to the wheel camber, suspension, etc? Would the right rear wheel be out of alignment because of the curbing? To what extent would the damage cause the wheel to be bend and causing it to be out alignment?

Thanks for your response.

The likelihood of damage other than what you have experienced with the wheel, is probably, none.

I hit a cast iron water meter cover (left by a careless worker) at 35 mph which bent the alloy rim severely enough to break the tire seal. Other than the rim having to be repaired, no other damage was found.

You can knock your car out of alignment by running over large objects at speeds over 30 mph, and believe me, you will HEAR the damage being done...

You will feel wheel damage a low speeds under 45 mph. Pulsation in the steering wheel for front damade and rocking roughness in the rear at lower speeds. If you are ok then check it out at hihger speeds. You will definately experience bad vibes if the was damage.
