Where is the expansion valve on an '89 300SEL

I'm replacing several pieces on my A/C system, but the expansion valve is not making itself obvious to me. Where is the expansion valve?
Thanks.
Brett

I believe your chassis is a 126. Pull the carpet wall from the drivers side of the console for easy access. Look forward and up. Mine is located there.

Found it. Thanks.
Now I'm going to start a new thread asking how to get it out.

You can also just do a search - it has been discussed many times.

I don't know why I never think to do that. Thanks.
