Lower Control Arm Bushing

Just wondering how long the front, lower control arm bushings have lasted for fellow W202 owners (or others). Just curious. It seems like one really good bump on the road would tear the rubber from the metal cylinder they're attached to/contained in. I live in a neighborhood that has speed bumps the shape of giant Bott dots the width of a car. Seems like those would be terror on the bushings, as well. Are there solid bushing replacements?

Hard to say.
" Average " life, probably 8-10 years.
There are many other things taking a beating.
Balljoints, swaybar bushings, etc.
When you start experiencing " squirrely handling " i.e. car is hard to keep going in a straight line, tires are wearing funny, etc. it's time to check all bushings and suspension/steering components.
