Have 88 300 CE. The two bushings in the subframe that bolt to the differential need to be replaced. How long should this take in hours by a trained shop and how long by a do it yourselfer. I know the new bushings need to be pressed into the subframe. Can you remove the old bushings by lowering the differntial without taking the subframe out of the car. What tools will I need to remove the old bushings? Can you use a ball joint press to press the new bushings in??

Also need to replace the lower bushing on the drivers rear wheel not a control arm but the part the has the spring in it - can't think of the name of it.
Do all busnings need to be replaced here or can you do just one is there a kit available that includes bushings, bolts and sleeves for the bolts??. What is involved in this procedure. About how long would a shop take to make this repair. The control arms are in good condition as they have been recently replaced.

There is a clunking sound when you take off.

With the the car on jack stands you can feel the wheel move and also see the gaps in the worn bushings on the differntial.

How long in hours should it take a shop to intall new rear wheel bearings.
