Is therre anyone that can tell me the name of this part it for a 1992 300D. It's located under the back seat behind the drivers seat it's not the vacuum pump.

It will be so useful if you can post its photo.

Yes, my ESP is a bit off today, too. Can't quite visualize that part.

With the envelop pressed against my forhead :pleased:(as Johnny Carson would do)
I would guess without a picture that you may be referring to the anti tow sensor.:D

Sorry - most of the mechanics I know can see it in their sleep.... LOL

here's the picture

So if these mechanics can see it in their sleep why dont they tell you what it is. Looks like a car alarm to me.

Its a convenience Control unit.

I had it changed when my

1) One-touch down window switch doesn't work.
2) Auto closure when you turn key in door/trunk and hold it to close ALL windows or open ALL windows doesn't work.

After changing to a recon unit, the above 2 features has been working fine.

Thanks

Sorry it was a joke

Sorry, I was only making a joke about seeing it in their sleep. It seems to me that 99.98 percent of mechanics can visualize a part even when you give them the most simple discription.

Did not intend to cause heart burn
