ebay seller deutschepartsusa

anybody bought parts from them before? Back in May of this year, per the owners request to find cheap parts, I bought for a 2000 S430, a pair of ball joints, pair of thrust and lower control arms from them. I don't see a brand name on the parts but tonight I was under the car again- no noise complaints, but I noticed one of the ball joint boots and the ball joint boots on both the thrust arms have ripped through already. A little surpising to find that not more than 6 months from new. I doubt I'm going to have any luck getting replacements.

Thought I would inform everyone, has anyone bought from them before?

I bought a window regulator from them for my W210. They were efficient. I was more interested in fast service at the time and understood the replacement part was not made in Germany.

Contact them and explain your are a MB Tech and what you are seeing and see what happens. Costs you nothing but free time.

I bought a water pump and a belt tensioner from them.

So far so good.

The belt tensioner was EXACTLY like the original...every mark.

Would we think that their stuff is any different from everyone else who sells the Worldpac parts?

The TRW balljoint booties that I bought were starting to tear within a year.

I bought some parts from ebay seller "mercedes991" and the parts and prices look very similar to what deutschepartsusa offers. My experience with a belt tensioner was not good. First one I got turned out to be DOA. I only realized this after a year when I tried to install it. The seller gave me another at cost, ~ $50. It lasted 5 months and I just replaced it with a unit from ********.

I recently purchased a window regulator from them for my 96 E320; while it was not exactly like the original (actually think it may be a better design) it fit fine and works fine. About half the price I was seeing for others plus it was free shipping.

With so much being made in China, you have to be carelful even with the larger parts houses. I recently bought an AC tension pully from Performance Products in L.A. Upon its arrival, I looked at the bearing through a magnifying glass and read "China." I returned it immediately and bought another pully somewhere else - more expensive, but not from China.
