Mercedes 2001 e320 rear driver side window
 

Hi,

Can anyone help,

Operated the window control and the window went all the way down into the door and the switch wont bring it back up. Closing the door makes a loud rattle from the window.

Any advice?

Bad window regualtor. Fairly common problem on W210's.

Search here and you find post concerning how to remove the door panel.

The rivets used to hold the reg in place need to be drilled out. They can be repalced with new rivets or small nuts and bolts. Takes an hour or two to do the job. Is not difficult.
