Turn Signal Doesnt Reset w126

hey everyone,

After much searching through my FSM, I've failed to locate anything useful about this stupid thing.

The turn signal thing work but they just wont reset after the wheel has come back around. Occasionally the right signal will reset but the left never ever does.

I was wondering if there was anything serviceable in the device that might have come undone or something that I could easily fix.

Typically I'd say the switch itself has failed.. have you pulled the steering wheel to take a look? There is a tripping mechanism if I remember correctly...it's just been a while since I took a look @ one.

i wasnt sure if there was another way to get to the switch itself, i.e perhaps from the side somehow...so I have to remove the wheel?
